The Story
The Little Black Dress Event was birthed out of an awareness of the great number of hurting women in our community. Our hope is that in caring for these women, we can impact families; in turn impacting our entire community.
The Little Black Dress Event is an annual charity event created to serve women as we provide a program filled with food, entertainment, an inspiring message, and tons of amazing door prizes. At the event we give away brand new little black dresses to nominated women, special awards to women who stand out in the community, and a nice dinner and gifts for all women who spend the evening with us.
The Bixby Outreach Center was our initial organization partner that nominated their clients and volunteers for dresses and awards. Since that first event we have had the privilege of adding many more organizations like DVIS, Warriors Refuge, Flourish Homes, John 3:16 Mission, Women in Recovery and more.
Our first Little Black Dress Event had 82 women in attendance. With over 500 RSVP’s and 150 nominations at our last Little Black Dress Event, together we were able to impact the lives of hundreds of women in our community.
Over the years, those who attend the event have become a part of what we call the Wear Love Community. There are three facets to this community: BE LOVED. LIVE LOVED. The Event
Experience what it means to truly BE LOVED at THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS EVENT. Our Annual Little Black Dress Event is all about experiencing God’s love. It is difficult to put on love and give it away unless we first experience it; unless we believe we are loved. Through The Little Black Dress Event, it is our vision to serve women as we provide an evening filled with food, entertainment, and gifts. Throughout the event we will give away dresses to nominated women, give away awards to nominated women who stand out in the community, and provide gifts for all women who spend the evening with us.
